Go Ride - Evening skills coaching sessions

These are fun coaching sessions , run by British Cycling Level2 coaches , where kids can learn a wide variety of skills needed to develop a taste of cycling competition. The skills sessions will be designed to feed kids into competing in the local Notts and Derby Cyclo Cross league

Sessions usually take place on monday evenings at The Arc, High Street, Clowne, S43 4JY

More details are posted on our Go-Ride Facebook page, click here to go there

  • Sessions start at 6:30pm and run till approx 7:30pm . Sessions cost £2 per child

  • Sessons usually take place every Monday night (heavy rain will usually cancel the event)

  • All that is needed to take part is a working bike (of any kind) , a helmet and loads of enthusiasm

  • Sessions will see kids develop the skills to take part in cycle racing, advice on how to get involved in the sport will be given and the kids will also take part in fun racing and activities to build confidence

New - Grow with the club - discounted club jerseys !!

We appreciate that kids grow fast and its hard to keep up with the cost of normal clothing, never mind cycle clothing for the kids.

So heres how we make things easier for those looking for club kit for kids, we call it "grow with the club"

  • Your first club jersey comes at a heavily subsidised price of just £15
  • As you outgrow that jersey, return it to us in decent condition, and the next size up will be even cheaper, just £10 !!
  • Keep going until your child reaches 16 years old..

The club would appreciate the return of any unwanted jerseys to help keep this scheme running

Go-Ride Racing - Fun off road competitions

Kids love to compete , and there is no better way to get involved in cycle sport than by taking part in one of our Go-Ride Racing events.

Run in a safe , off road facilty , kids get to taste events aimed at all abilities that will test their skills while giving them a great time aswell.

Those wishing to take their racing to the next level can become involved in regional level cyclo-cross and mountain bike racing under our guidance , a great way to get involved in this fun sport and get mucky in the process

Go-Ride - Holiday Coaching Sessions

Supported by British Cycling , and run by their qualified coaches , our holiday sessions will be two day sessions run in the local school holidays , these will be extended skills development sessions with a capital F for fun !

sessions run from 10am till 2pm , and cost around £10.00 per day to cover insurance costs (compare this to the equivalent of 4 hours child care anywhere else). Bike and helmet hire is available on pre-booking

Our Clubs Holiday Coaching sessions take place at Oxcroft miners welfare and will take place on dates announced here - we recommend that you pre-book with the coach, Dean Hughes to avoid dissapointement

more details about all these holiday sessions can be found by clicking here
